MODE ONE: 8 Inputs x 2
Stereo Output Midi Controlled Mixer
The Cosmix can be operated
either as a 2 channel (stereo) mixer or as a 4 channel mixer
simply by using a different set of MIDI controller numbers.
When used in 2 channel mode, controller numbers 0-7 control the
level from the 8 inputs to the stereo Main Out, 8-15 control the
level from the inputs to the Aux Out, controllers 16-23 pan the
inputs to Main Out and 24-31 pan the input to Aux Out. Notice
the Aux inputs are mixed to the Main Out buss allowing
connection of a Stereo Signal processor. Also note the Exp
inputs are mixed to the Main out buss allowing connection of
other Cosmix units. This diagram shows the arrangement when used
this way.
MODE TWO: 8 Inputs x 4 Mono
Outs Midi Controlled Mixer
When used in 4 channel mode,
all controller numbers are used to control the levels from the 8
inputs to the 4 outputs. Controller numbers for this mode range
from 32-63 and control the levels for the 8 inputs to outputs 1,
the 8 inputs for output 2 and so on for a total of 32 faders.
Note the Aux inputs are connected to the Aux buss rather than
the Main buss allowing all 4 channels of another Cosmix to be
connected keeping the 4 channels separated all the way down the
line. With this arrangement you can expand up to 128 inputs x 4
outputs.
